Academy at the Lakes (completed 2008)

AcademypanelInstallation1.JPG

AcademypanelInstallation1.JPG

The Academy at the Lakes gymnasium/performing arts center. Yes, you can manage performing arts in a gym- as long as you take care of the acoustics first. Custom Ramsdell Audio basstrap/absorber panels and Auralex "flag" banner panels keep this room friendly to both basketballs and cellos. hopefully not at the same time. That would be a mess. Electrovoice ZX5 loudspeakers and dual 18" subwoofers are operable in multiple configurations, including an "autopilot" mode that enables the coaches to used the system without enlisting the assistance of a console operator.

Billy Graham Crusade 1998, Raymond James Stadium

BillyGrahamAF1.jpg

ABOVE The Community Airforce speaker system is awaiting deployment at Raymond James stadium in Tampa for the Billy Graham Crusade Kidz Gig, a Saturday morning event that demanded coverage of 35,000 "kidz" and had to be set up daily for weekday rehearsals and taken down every afternoon.

BELOW The system was set up on scissor lifts so it could be raised to its 50' operating height, then driven off of the field every afternoon to make way for the crusade.

our most popular shirt

DADshirt.jpg

A limited edition, heirloom quality, collectible DAD t-shirt (as worn by DAD sound techs at events and on installations). This one is probably worth $900 or more on eBay.

You can get one from us for $20.

Of course, we can't actually guarantee that you'll get $900 for yours on eBay, but ya never know.
